Dedicated to the memory of Derek Horrocks
This site is a tribute to Derek Horrocks, who was born in Widnes on September 24, 1932.
On the 1st April 2020, he died peacefully in his sleep, having battled Parkinson's Disease in recent years.
In his younger years, Derek was a Research and Development Manager for Mars and an active member of the 41 Club.
In retirement, he took up horology and was Treasurer for Rutland Hospital League of Friends.
Loving Husband to Pat, Daddy to Carol and Lindsey and Grandad to Connor, Freddie and Sam.
He will be sadly missed by all of us.
Derek was a supporter of Parkinson's UK and any donations to them would be very welcome.

Thoughts
Have some very early, very lovely memories of Ro Ro & Derek. I remember a feeling of looking forward to seeing them both very much indeed. Grateful for those happy times!

Derek was such a lovely, caring man. He loved his girls - all 3 - and was proud of the men in his family. His kindness and generosity of spirit was always evident. He had a gentle soul that shone through & I was lucky enough to have known & loved him. 💜
